I have attempted to install Immich on ZimaOS atleast a dozen times with no success. I have followed a thread in this forum on the subject and failed. I have watched and followed a couple youtube videos on the subject and failed.
I am currently using ZimaOS 1.4.3 and have not been offered an opportunity to update yet. I am running ZimaOS 1.4.3 on a GMKtec Mini PC ( G3 Plus + 16gb ddr4 + 512gb SSD ). So far I have Plex Server and Tautulli running perfectly using multiple USB external HDD’s on a USB hub.

You’re definitely not the only one who’s struggled with Immich on ZimaOS, especially when using USB drives. Version 1.4.3 had a few quirks with how it handled external disks, and that often caused the setup to fail when trying to store data or databases on them.
The good news is that ZimaOS 1.5.0 is out now, and it includes major improvements to external drive handling. Once you update, Immich usually installs and runs smoothly without any extra tweaks.
well, after updating zimaOS i did a custom install of
Immich(v2). I went to the server tab and directed it to my external hdd via volume. It worked great. I was so happy. Then i thought i would uninstall it and reinstall it while recording my desktop and post it to youtube pointing out the time and date and version i used etc considering there is so many different people claiming to do it so many different ways. I will be damned if i can get it to install properly again. It simply will not install
