Have you updated to 1.4.3?
I am also having this issue. I am currently on 1.4.1 because the release of 1.42 and 1.4.3 had so many issues that I figured it would be best to wait on 1.4.4. 1.4.1 was working fine before. After wiping everything and starting over it will not use my A2000 at all. It sees it and it is set to primary in Plex but never uses it. I have included 4 pictures of my setup to see if I am missing something. Thanks.
Edit: I have installed 1.4.3 and I am still having the same issue. All transcoding is done using the CPU and not the GPU.
Hello, thanks for the feedback. We are investigating it, and upon a solution, we will release the update.
any news?
When do you expect to provide an upgrade to support this Nvidia Graphics card?
Would be nice - thank you
This issue is under investigation. You will get the fix once we resolve it.
I have tried a different GPU. I put in my RTX 4060 (instead of my A2000, which also did not work) to make sure it was not my video card that was having issues. It also relies on the CPU. Just trying to help troubleshoot.
After speaking with Giorgio and 777-Spider, my understanding is a member of the dev team responsible for looking into this issue was on vacation. After getting settled in this week I am sure they will find a fix for this.
I have installed the latest Beta
But ZimaOS still does not recognize my Nvidia Card
I hope they find a solution
Please tell me the specific model of your Nvidia GPU so I can check.
Hello Jerry,
the model is a GeForce RTX 5060 OC Low Profile (8 GB)
thank you for your help.
Best regards
Christian
Hello, 5060 needs a new open source version of the driver, currently for better compatibility we have chosen the closed source version of the driver, so it is temporarily impossible to drive your 5060, we are looking for a better way to support them at the same time.
Hello Jerry,
thank you for your response. So what does this mean? Will you ever support the Nvidia 5060 or do I need to look for another NAS OS?
Thank you
Best regards
Christian
Currently, only 1.4.2 beta1 supports 5060, and subsequent versions are not supported for the time being. If you must use 5060, you can use 1.4.2 beta1 for now, but don’t update the version.
