In this release, we focused on improving security, storage capabilities, and overall user experience. The update introduces Encrypted Folders (Beta), marking an important step forward in our software-defined storage journey. We also delivered multiple improvements to SMB sharing and storage management, and added support for accessing Samba shares via IPv6 and domain names.

Hola Tomás, algún problema al actualizar de 1.5.3 a 1.5.4? Es recomendable hacer una copia del sistema antes?

Saludos.

Hasta ahora no hay ninguna diferencia. Reinicié mi equipo (TerraMaster F2-425) mientras solucionaba problemas de transmisión y no hubo problemas.
Los recursos compartidos de Samba siguen disponibles.

Saludos

Tom

I have upgraded to 1.5.4, and I really wanted to try the new Encryption Folder feature. Unfortunately, I cannot find it. I looked through the settings and the Files app, but I can’t find how to enable it or create a new encrypted folder. Am I missing something?

You can add here~

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately, I am definitely missing something. Even though I have updated to ZimaOS v1.5.4 when I click the new folder button like you show in your screenshot I do not see the options “New folder” and “New encryption folder.” It just creates a new regular folder.

Edit: Update, I just figured out that I can create an encrypted folder while logged in with Chrome, but I cannot when using Firefox.

Edit 2: Another update…I cleared the cookies and cache in Firefox, and now the encrypted folder option is showing. So all this time it seems that the issue was with the cached data in the Firefox browser.

Bonjour,
Jerome.

Hello, I updated yesterday from version 1.5.0 to 1.5.4 using the update function in the ZimaOS interface’s General menu. Since then, the shared folders on my QNAP devices are no longer accessible via LAN Storage (smb), while the Synology devices work as before the update… :-/ Any ideas?
Thanks for your help. Jerome
