Hallo

after installing the beta version my fieles app is useless and looks like this:
System is a lenovo thinkcentre m920q with celeron processor

This is a ZimaOS beta Files app bug, not a disk or RAID issue.

Your storage is still mounted, but the Files UI can’t enumerate it, so folders appear empty/grey and unusable. This commonly happens after a beta upgrade and affects the Files app’s index/metadata layer.

Not hardware, not CPU, not data loss.

Fix options:

  • Roll back to stable (Files works immediately), or
  • Factory reset and re-attach/migrate disks if staying on beta.

Reboots or browser changes won’t fix it.

I found out that this is a problem with the firefox browser.

After I delete the cache the problem was solved.

JBOD is greyed out on 1.5.4-beta1, can i downgrade to different version which supports JBOD

JBOD being greyed out is expected in 1.5.4-beta1.

JBOD is not implemented yet in ZimaOS (it’s marked Coming soon), so no released version currently supports JBOD, downgrading won’t enable it.

If you need non-RAID behavior right now, the only options are:

  • Use single disks (no combine), or
  • Use RAID0/1/5 depending on your needs

Best to stay on stable/beta and wait for official JBOD support.
