How to enable AI search? How Enable AI for ZimaOS | Zimaspace Docs

After updating my Zimaboard to 1.3.1 there is 100% CPU all the time. The Webinterface ist most of the time not reachable. Rolled back to 1.3.0-2 and everything working again.

How do you rollback?? Since I updated my CPU is also running more and making the fans run on full every 5-10 minutes.

Download this file: https://github.com/IceWhaleTech/ZimaOS/releases/download/1.3.0-2/zimaos_zimacube-1.3.0-2.raucb and load it somewhere on to your device (I used the download directory) . Log into terminal and use the command: sudo rauc install zimaos_zimacube-1.3.0-2.raucb in the directory where you put the file.

Release 1.3.1-1 · IceWhaleTech/ZimaOS · GitHub We have fixed it now~

Hi, tested now for 1 day version 1.3.1-1 and it is not completely fixed. From time to time there is a very hight cpu usage so that I loose connection to a share on zimaos. I use the share to backup my home assistant and in the error log I see the loss of the connection. Never had this with 1.3.0.

Thank you for your feedback. I would like to ask about your device CPU hardware information and how many threads it supports at least. We will further optimize some edge scenarios in 1.3.2 and adapt to your device situation.

Hi, I use a ZimaBoard 832. In the last 8 hours there where only 2 errors in the Home Assistant log. It getting better.

hello since the version 1.3.1-1 when I turn on the zimacube, after a few time mu GPU A2000 goes up to 80-100% and after my zimacube crash (I cannot use my zimacube). each time I turn on.
I’ll share it to you for your information.

Excuse me, I would like to ask if you have installed the zimaos-ai program? You can adjust the scheduled time or even turn it off directly. Please refer to the last question of Enable AI search | Zimaspace Docs FAQ.

Sorry I did I mistake for my explaination, it’s the RAM who goes up to 80-100%, I have 32GB (and other 32GB not working), I downloaded the update, but not the zimaos-ia program, should I install it or it’s not the solution of my problem?

I’ve had a similar experience with my zimacube pro: high cpu usage (50%) and temperature (80 degrees) on idle. Rolling back to 1.3.0-2 seems to have fixed it.

I noticed something similar. My RAM was slowly creeping up over the course of a day. It got to about 65% (normally sits around 22% on idle). I rebooted it reset back to normal.

One other issue since updating to 1.3.1-1 is that the fans run all the time now. Not full speed, but enough to be audible. On the previous version they would only be noticeable when actively running tasks.

Thank you very much for your feedback. We have also noticed this issue and will solve it in the upcoming 1.3.2.

I want to start off my saying that I’m still learning and not a extremely experienced Developer or anything like that, so please excuse if there is an answer to my question that should be apparent.

My question that is about /dev/root partitioning of the drive. When I look at the file structure after installing ZimaOS 1.3.2-beta2, /dev/root is 1.3G in size and 1.3G is being used. From my understanding utilizing 100% of the root could be problematic and not having additional space can could cause performance and stability issues. Is that correct? I notice that there have been a couple post of people having this same issue.

I installed ZimaOS on my 1TB Samsung Evo Plus SSD attached to a PCIe NVMe to NGFF SSD adapter on my ZimaBoard 432.

I did try to run GParted and removed 100GB from my /dev/nvme0n1p8 which originally had 904G in storage available with the intention making the root filesystem / larger. After taking down the /data partition down to 800GB it would not allow me to increase the root file system (/) (/dev/nvme0n1p3) but because it was not recognized due to an unknown file system which I later found out was SquashFS and that is read-only.

Please let me know if I’m right in my thinking that the Root File system needs additional storage and how I can ensure that 100% of my root partition is not being used. Any advice, feedback or education is much appreciated.
