thanks!!

Hi there,

I’m having trouble with the update not showing up on my ZimeCube again. Quick question: where does ZimaOS check for available updates?

The reason I’m asking is that my Unifi UDM SE has some countries blocked. If ZimaOS tries to reach a server in China, it wouldn’t work. However, I would expect an error message like “unable to check for updates.” Interestingly, updates from apps work fine through the settings screen.

Thanks for your help!

Hi, can you install from here?

Yes I can and have used the offline Installer.
However, it’s a bummer to not be notified than if a OS Update is availble.
With CasaOS on my ZimaBlades I don’t have this issue.

OK, thanks for the feedback. Did you upgrade from zimaosv1.2.3? The official version or the beta version?Do you have a log?

I did a upgrade from the ZimaOS v 1.2.3 Offical Release.
I din’t activly activate a log. Can you let me know where to find it or how to activate it for the next time?

hello,you can run /var/log/casaos/installer.log

Hi I have a question about this.
I was still on 1.2.2 because I could not get the update to work at all.
I was attempting to troubleshoot that today and couldn’t get too far other than finding out it thought both my kernals were bad. See below. I was able to manually update to 1.2.4 skipping 1.2.3 but since I’m not familiar with rauc much, I was wondering if I’m now just missing a lot of the critical updates from 1.2.3 because I did that? I haven’t really been able to do much with this since I got it without the CPU cooking itself(i did order the new heatsink) even under light load so I dont really want to miss out on updates.
