Updated this morning, went smoothly for the most part. I use my Cube as mostly network storage and access it thru two desktop computers and one laptop. All were mapped to access and transfer files with my Cube. After updating to latest OS I had to delete my mapped drives and remap before I could access from my other computers. Web access was fine, just could not open or even view my files without remapping on each again. Not too big a deal but it was unexpected. Hopefully this will cure it from vanishing anymore. And I like that my power button is lit when it was on! Thanks.
No bueno. Zimacube already crashed or rebooted once and completely vanished from my network AGAIN. This is still a huge issue moving forward. Please address and fix!!
If you are willing to give it a try, you can change your ZimaOS password and your storage space will be automatically shared and password protected @scoobarama
Hello, I’ve made the update. I just want to report a bug. I have an SSD storage device that I can access in ZimaOS from the Storage Manager when I go to view files. However, in the Files app, my drive doesn’t appear in the storage options on the left bar, and I can’t access the SSD/drive from there.
UPDATE
I removed the disk from zimaOS (just formatting the disk wouldn’t solve the problem), reattached it, and this solved the problem.
I’m on my ZimaCube Pro with ZimaOS 1.2.2.! I don’t see any update option. So do I need to connect the Cube to peripherals and create a USB-Stick with the image to do the update?
Thanks
I have the same issue. If you are able to find out how to update please let me know. I had trouble flashing the image to the ssd and I am concerned about losing the config and data if I have to flash the new OS.
You can put the upgrade package in
/ZimaOS-HD/rauc/offline
After the system detects it, the update option will automatically appear (red dot in the upper left corner of the dashboard)
After upgrading, delete the upgrade package.
Thanks for the hint. I already did it manually through a fresh install. I think one issue is that the servers for updates and some other features are located in China, and some EU/US company firewalls have country blocks. However, even after disabling it, unlike CasaOS, I still didn’t get the red bubble automatically. I will try it again with the next update.
