Hello, I have a Ugreen DXP2800 and, as a test, I installed ZimaOS 1.4.1 beta2 on my new NVME drive. The installation was very easy thanks to the instructions here.
When I start the NAS, it boots up and I can access the dashboard via the client.
Regarding the problems:
For some inexplicable reason (even if nothing is done), the NAS simply restarts. No matter what you do, it restarts about every 3 to 5 minutes.
Second question: Is there a way to use the HDMI port like with Ugreen?
Third question: Is there a way to correctly adjust the LEDs on the front of the NAS, since they always cycle back and forth.
Sorry for the many questions and hope for some help.

Egal was man macht.
For the problem of restarting, we need to capture more information. You can go to the SSH console and use âjournalctl -k -r -b -1â to get the kernel logs before the reboot and send them to us.
ZimaOS does not have a specific application for HDMI output. At the moment, only the main system information is displayed.
LEDs for specialized devices require specialized adaptation, and there may be no development plans for this part at the moment.
So I connected the NAS to the TV, and after booting, the following message appears below the welcome message for about half a second: Device âbonding-mastersâ does not exist.
The desired log file is attached in the picture.
HDMI would be great, and Iâll explain why. I have the NAS on a shelf 6 meters from my PC and TV. I play movies or series via wireless HDMI (which works really well). Personally, I think ZimaOS is better than Ugos.
I donât see an issue with bonding-masters in the kernel logs, but this issue has recently appeared in other peopleâs feedback as well. I will continue to monitor this issue.
Regarding the HDMI output of Ugos, can you describe how it is implemented? For example, a virtual machine is installed?
I made a video for you so you can see it with the âBonding Masterâ
HDMI is already implemented by default on Ugos, so you donât need to do anything extra.
If you have a movie, series, or other video file, all you need to do is click on the file on the NAS interface on your phone and press HDMI Play. The phone then acts as the remote control.
Iâve also noticed that shutting down the NAS doesnât always work; you have to repeat it two or more times under Zimaos.
I saw the video and I suspected that some kernel drivers might be the cause, so I removed them in the next release of the official system.
At the same time, the restart or shutdown problem you mentioned has been fixed, and you just need to wait for the new version to be released. It will be released soon.
Unfortunately, since the dx4600 lacks HDMI output, I might not be able to install zimaOS on it.
Also, have you tried installing other operating systems on the dxp 2800? Such as Ubuntu or Debian. Do these systems also cause reboots?
