ZimaOS installer not booting on Maiyunda M1S N100CPU

I try to use Zima 1.41 img usb to install OS to the device (Maiyunda M1S N100 all Nvme drive). I had enable UEFI boot for USB drive and enable the AHCI and Disable Secure Boot. But keep waiting installer running just like freeze screen. Can not go to next step to install system.

It’s Zima OS do not support my device?
How can i install the os?

Key Specs:

  • Intel N100 CPU
  • 24G LPDDR5 in SO-DIMM
  • 256G internal m.2 NVMe SSD (2230)
  • 2TB samsung PCIe gen 3 x 1 NVMe SSD slots (2280)
  • 2x Intel I226-V 2.5Gbe NICs

It looks like there are no issues with your hardware configuration.
Can you provide a screenshot or video of the startup time?

keep this page freezeing
just show saving 256 bits of creditable seed for next boot.

Hi there.

I had the exact same issue with my system when I first started with ZimaOS with my Maiyunda M1 N100 with the installer freezing at the same point I think? It was quite awhile ago now but I think the issue was either the image file or the USB flash drive? I am so sorry but I can’t remember exactly what I did to fix the issue but it was probably a combination of flashing a new image or using a different USB flash drive.

Are you using the image link from here: ZimaOS github
Or are you using an image from here: ZimaOS releases

Whichever one you used, try the other one!

Hi there.

Thanks for your reply. I have been used github image and zima releases and changed 3 usb drives to flash v1.3/1.4 and boot same issue.

When i using the zimo os.xz (zimaos_zimacube-1.4.1.img.xz) to run the system is fine but very slow. thanks again.

I find the problem can not using frontside usb hub. When I using the backside the problem is gone. Thanks All.

That’s great news getting it sorted. It’s frustrating when it’s as simple as using a different usb port!

yes that’s great. But when i using the zimo os.xz (zimaos_zimacube-1.4.1.img.xz) to run the system in front port is fine. So i don’t know why.

Because Installer and ZimaOS are two operating systems, the purpose of the installer is to flash zimaos into your hard drive.
It may be caused by the lack of some drivers in the installer system, and we will update the driver support of the installer system as soon as possible.
Thank you for your feedback.
