Installed beta 2 over the previous 1.6.2 stable release. The only app that is running is backup set to copy new files from one disk to another. Previous cpu utilisation rarely exceeded 3%. After 8 hours the cpu utilisation has not dropped below 45% and spiking to 60%. Temperature is running around 58 degrees C against a previous 32 - 36 degrees. CPU is a i5-8256 with 32gb DDR4 RAM. Despite high cpu utilisation the NAS seems stable so far with no ill effects and otherwise the update is performing as expected, Shares fully accessible and no impact on network access.
Feedback on my own comment… the beta instal seemed to have triggered the backup processes that I had setup… thats what was causing the high cpu utilisation. Stopped the processes, restarted Zimaos and cpu utilisation is back to normal
