I have original Zimacube (1) model and have never populated this with HDD due to reported issues with HDD being “destroyed”. Whilst I have reached out on multiple occasions to Icewhale - dialogue always ended without proper conclusion so It sits without disks as I will not risk it.
I don’t believe we ever got a proper explanation other than trying to blame isolated backplane failures.
So - question - is there any proper explanation to the failures and is there any “re-design” to protect disks which Icewhale can provide (free or paid) so my paper weight can swing into action?
Also - where has disk compatibility list gone?
With Zimacube 2 - one hopes its redesigned to protect disks and if so can that backplane be issued to zimacube 1 users?
