CPU fan is powered off the cpu header
Additional fans all run off the system header with the noctua fan reducer and in bios set to 100%
My cpu temps are low 30’s at idle if your seeing higher then you have a mounting issue.

I assume the CPU fan still sits at 0.5 PWM and the System fans are at 1 PWM?
Not home to check but I think it’s auto for cpu and full for the system
Hey Gav, the default CPU cooler fan direction was blowing air to the heatsink and i replaced it with a noctua fan with the same orientation, so i placed the small fans like this to have a uniform airflow.
BIOS settings i used a curve 3 and fan start at 30
CPU temp at idle is 33 and around 65-68 at full load
If i reverse all fans i think that hot air will be trapped to the back (that has only a small passive grill) and will get recirculated in the cpu heatsink.
Hmm, maybe this is where I messed up then. Couldn’t figure out how to mount it and was having trouble getting the brackets screwed in with the blue posts. I could get one screw in but then the other was off. I gave up and just put the stock back in. Did upgrade the rear fans with noctuas. Temps are still idleing around 50C. Will give the cooler another try tomorrow.
Hi Gav, quick question, what do you mean by the “existing backplate” ? The one that came with the original CPU cooler, with the remplacement supplied by Zima or the one that come with the Noctua CPU Cooler ?
If you could make a quick picture / video of the installation, I would really appreciate.
Thanks !
When I say original backplate I mean the one that came with the zimacube. Hence the requirement to purchase new screws/bolts to fit.
No setting changed for cpu fan it’s set to stock
