I received a Zimaboard 2 this week and wanted to open it to connect the fan. But I can’t open it. It has Torx T5 screws with a Point-to-point distance of 0.059 in. But they have been screwed in so tightly that only holes remained, no star-shaped pattern anymore–see attachment. Which monster assembled this? 
The device has been unavailable to buy for a long time and seems to be a new batch. So I’m wondering if anyone else is having this problem with the new batch. Any solutions other than sending it back?
Mine were pretty tight, but not stripped like that at all. If I remember correctly, I believe they had blue thread locker on them when I removed them. Not sure why that was necessary, but I could be misremembering it. I would contact support and try to get some new screws. You can at least drill those ones out while you wait for replacements.
Thanks for your response! Thread locker? Well, the large screws on the side didn’t have any. There are no vibrations that could loosen the screws, but anything is possible. And I have to open the device to connect the fan that came with it. I contacted support on Friday, two days ago, but I haven’t received a response yet. However, I don’t have any experience with IceWhale and don’t know how long they take to respond. I’m really curious to know how long they need and what solution they suggest.
