Zimaboard 832 / CasaOS Not Recognizing External SSD

I recently purchased a Zimaboard and a 4TB Vulcan Z QLC SSD SATA III with the intent to set it up as a Plex server (among other uses). I’m on a Mac (OS Sequoia 15.1.1) and have CasaOS running via Colima. I formatted the new SSD as ext4, but I’m having trouble getting CasaOS to recognize it. It is not showing up “Storage” or “Drive”.

Has anyone experienced this issue or have any suggestions on what I might be missing? Thanks in advance!

Only sata connected devices are shown here, what way you are connected.

Thanks for the quick response, Leong. The Vulcan Z QLC SSD (4TB) is a 2.5" SATA III 6Gb/s SSD.

Can you execute the ‘lsblk’ screenshot for us?

Apologies for the delay. I ordered a new 2.5" SSD to see if that was the problem but that too is not getting recognized. When I open terminal in CasaOS is get an error message stating, “Please check if the username and port are correct. Make sure the SSH server is installed.” I am not sure how to bypass that screen to even run ‘lsblk’. I have tried my CasaOS login as well as the defaults below:
username: casaos
password: casaos

I think I bit off more than I could chew seeing as I have no experience in Linux. I was just trying to make a Plex Server for my house and didn’t realize how hard it would be to get the Zimaboard up and running let alone have CasaOS recognize an SSD.

If anybody could help it would be greatly appreciated before I tape this plastic bag around my head. haha

Hi, bro I strongly recommend you to join our discord community, there are 20000+ people there and everyone is happy to help new friends

Thanks for the advice. I joined the Discord community and I can’t get a single person to respond. I think I will just return everything and use something designed to be more user-friendly.
