I decided to try and install Zima OS 1.3.3 on my laptop and followed the tutorial via the documentation.
Zima OS install screen did show up but cannot be installed on the NVME SSD (stuck on 95%). While the SATA SSD install did success, the bios did not recognized it as a bootable drive.
I have tried and roll back to different releases, multiple boot usb too, but all didnt work.
I had decided to build a NAS and found a list of free OS to use for my build.
Now the issue I encounted is the mounting the image to the chosen ZimaOS drive. Only having one install that completed to the Zima screen, trying dozens of times and making BIOS changes it would hang or run for hours. The screen once loaded would show disabling IRQ 16, loading on old drives as a trial on a upgrade 10th gen motherboard. Drives were Gen3x4 Muskin 500GB nvme and a Intel SSD 330 series 120GB both having the same issue of hanging install of the Zimaos.
My solution in the early hours was to try another NVME drive KIOXIA 512GB DOM Aug 2024, then the image mounted in a few minets
My Build is ASrock H470m i5 10600 8x4TB HDD and 3x2TB SSD to add Thunderbolt 3 and NVME card
I hope this helps some people out, I think theres a driver issue for old hardware in the ISO installer?
