I just installed Zima OS version 1.2.4 Beta2 successfully in machine that has six M.2 nvme 4TB drives. The dashboard shows the six discovered devices. However, in storage section I clicked discover, selected the first drive and clicked enabled. However, it fails to enable. It is in a “preserving data” state. How can I make Zima recognize the 4TB NvMe drives and create a raid 5? Thank you.
For the first question
- Can you provide a screenshot of your Storage Manager admin page?
- You need to ssh to your zimacube and enter the command
lsblk -f
to check your disks, so we can get a better idea of why you can’t enable a single hard drive right now.
For the second problem - Select Combine hard drive space using RAID to create a raid.
