Wireless support

Great beta! I look forward to when it has expanded hardware support though. I have a Beelink mini pc that I am trying to setup as a home server for NAS, JellyFin & Mealie to start with and I keep running into roadblocks with it no matter which OS I try.

With regards to ZimaOS and the wireless card, the info I get from Ubuntu regarding the hardware is: Model from database = “Wi-Fi 6 AX200 (NGW)”, Model ID = “0x2723”, Net driver = “iwlwifi”, Label onboard = “Onboard LAN Brodcom”, Link file = “/usr/lib/systemd/network/99-default.link”, Vendor from database = “Intel Corporation”.

The Ubuntu installer can be made to work using it by just choosing the network SSID and supplying the password for it.

Please let me know if you need any more info from me to help with your efforts to get ready for the eventual 1.0 release.

Do you have the same hardware? Wifi drivers for Beelink Me Mini - #3 by sargents79

When I run the “lspci | grep -i network” the output is “Network controller: Intel Corporation Wi-Fi 6 AX200 (rev 1a)”

It’s a different model of Beelink: Beelink Mini PC AMD Ryzen 7 5825U Up to 4.5GHz 8C/16T, SER5 32GB RAM 500GB SSD Graphics 8core 2000 MHz, M2 SSD NVME 2280 Mini Computer 2.5GLAN/ WiFi 6/BT5.2/HDM/DP/USB3.2,Home/Office

In the upcoming release ZimaOS integrates the firmware of new intel wireless network cards, such as ax101 ax200 ax201, since I don’t have enough wireless network cards to test now, waiting for the new version release you can test it.

Awesome! Will that be baked into the installer too so I won’t have to go plug in?

Yes, these driver firmware will be in both OTA and Installer, and you can test whether the AX200 is able to drive.
