Hi, i’m trying to do a front panel for this board (1664), following the info online the pinout is not compatible with the 832, here is what i found so far with the multimeter and oscilloscope:
this is the header 2x7 pin view from behind (where the battery is) top part is where the display port connector is and bottom part is where the PCI-Express connector is.
PINOUT:
GND X X ?? (used to be hdd2)
+5V X X ?? (used to be hdd2)
?? X X ??
PWR |X X| RESET
SWITCH |X X| SWITCH
HDD-?? X X PWR LED -
HDD+?? X X PWR LED +
HDD output does not work, for some reason
the + is connected to +5V though 330ohms but the HDD- is floating at 1V
and it shows no activity 
I can confirm that power button and reset works, and POWER LED TOO, but no hdd led.
the one in the top (that used to be HDDLED2)doesn’t even have the 330 ohms to +5V like HDD1 which it has! but the sink signal is in high impedance
also there is white LED where the SATA power output is, and only turns on on power on, never again, it never blinks, no matter if i do transfers to the HDDs or the internal eMMC
any ideas where can i get the SATA ACTIVITY signal? i would prefer individual signal, but if its not possible at least ONE signal, it is very important on a NAS an activity LED because you can get a lot of data from it, why the 1664 board doesn’t have it’s beyond me.
any hints? ideas?.
also tried to hunt the GPIO OUT to redirect from the OS but the ZIMA OS is extremely limited and doesn’t have the proper functionaltiy to do GPIO hunting
