Web ui shows wrong date and time after bios reset

web ui shows wrong date and time after bios reset
after login it briefly shows correct date and time then goes back to october 2024 wrong time

Copy that. Would you tell us about the version and the specs of your OS and machine?

i have a ryzen 5600 with x470 motherboard 16 gb ram
the build was 1.4.1, later i updated to the last beta
i don’t know if something broke with bios reset and ram update, i did some tweaking and now seem fine
i there a way to know if the build is working correctly, other than its functions?

Try to replace the ROM/BIOS battery and see if it works properly.

i will
in the meanwhile new problem here. sorry to bother you but the system doesnt seem to power down anymore
i shut down from webui, i tells me to wait, but the pc is still on
if i log in again it’s like i never told it to shut down

I see a same post in Discord. Is that you?

yes, sorry i just subscribed

@alegggiu
Can you run this command on the command line and send me the display
timedatectl

root@ZimaOS:~# timedatectl
Local time: Thu 2025-05-22 11:11:56 CEST
Universal time: Thu 2025-05-22 09:11:56 UTC
RTC time: Thu 2025-05-22 09:11:57
Time zone: Europe/Rome (CEST, +0200)
System clock synchronized: no
NTP service: inactive
RTC in local TZ: no

Having the same problem and reported, version 1.4.1 Beta 2, PC H470m Pro 4, I5 10600 32GB ram new BIOS battery

i replaced the battery too

Can you try using your phone to access and see if there is an anomaly at this time

you mean trying to shut it down from smartphone?

do you need remote access?

Access the WebUI from your phone

i did and it works fine, as from pc
the problem is when i try to shutdown
it restarts

  1. Do you mean that now the issue with the time display in the upper left corner has been resolved?
  2. For the problem of the shutdown function invalidating, it is recommended to connect your device to a monitor, and then click Shut Down in the WebUI to check whether the monitor has an error message (the prompt for shutdown failure)
  3. You can run poweroff or /usr/sbin/shutdown -h now on the command line to check for errors

i don’t know what happened but the time comes from bios now (i think)
and i set it manually in it, so it’s almost correct (lags 2 minutes)
can i keep it like this?
later i experienced some troubles with turning off, i disabled beta updates and a i had to reinstall the stable version (don’t know why)
now it looks like everything is good, but it don’t know what happened.
in the discord channel i was told i can reinstall from the image but will it make me loos my settings and apps?
Thank you for your patience!

It looks like clock is never synched automatically via NTP`?

I also can not see a corresponding systemd timer.

is there something i can try?
