Hey everyone! I just set up a new ZimaOS server and it’s working great! I was wondering how I could use my external hard drive connected via usb as my main storage instead of the pc’s internal ssd. Ideally, the apps (like Immich) would be installed on the fast SSD and all the media would be stored on the external drive. Thanks!

Good morning friend, I have a similar situation and I organized it this way, try to see if it can help you. The system SSD is isolated, I migrated everything else to an internal NVMe drive (look at the applications section in the settings, you can do this for internal devices). But, to ensure better health for the NVMe drive, I created an “applications” folder on the external hard drive. For each new app, I create a folder inside it with the name of the new app, install it in a customized way, and direct the folders to this external hard drive. It works very well.
You may redirect any new Installation (Immich etc) to any Volume you like, as said.
Create a Folder and do a Custom Installation where you can set the path manually accordingly
