Has anyone had any luck setting up Time Machine backups on the ZimaCube? If so, would you mind giving a walkthrough?

I have the same problem on my pcx86 ZimaOS 1.2.5-beta3. Time machine does not recognize the shared smb folders. It would be important to find a solution. Any ideas?
Hello, zimaos does not currently provide this support, but we will quickly update and add it in the next two new versions. I hope this will satisfy you. If you have any other requirements, please let me know! Thank you very much for your feedback!

TimeMachine support is absolutely vital. A server/homelab that cannot host a simple TimeMachine backup is completely useless. I’ll hang on for another update, but without APFS support this OS is worthless. I don’t want to switch back to TrueNAS, but if that lack of support for TimeMachine persists, I’m not going to have a choice.
You are absolutely right and we realize that. Therefore, we have decided to include these features in future releases. However, due to limited staff resources, this will take some time. Thank you for your patience and understanding! I’ll reply here as soon as it’s updated！

I have had success with setting up a TimeMachine backup. You will need to setup an instance of the docker container mbentley/timemachine.
It is expected to go live within two months.

So great! We also referenced the configuration of that repository to implement TimeMachine and considered integrating it directly into the SMB configuration of ZimaOS.
Latest news: We expect to support this feature time machine in zimaos v1.3.2! A beta version is expected to be released next week!
