Hi Team,
I’m struggling with the TB connection between TB4 card and ZimaCube Pro. I’ve seen a few similar (older) topics, but thought it’s better to create a new thread as different hardware is used. The card I’m using is Asus Thunderbolt EX4: ThunderboltEX 4|Motherboards|ASUS Global
Motherboard is ProArt B760-CREATOR D4 and BIOS settings have PCIE Tunneling over USB4 and Discrete Thunderbolt Support both Enabled.
Thunderbolt Networking in Device Manager (on PC side) is only coming alive when I’m replugging the TB4 cable (either on ZimaCube or on Thunderbolt EX4) and running the systemctl restart zimaos command to “initiate” the connection:
Restarting the computer is breaking the connection and above steps need to be done again in order to establish a new connection, and then a new IP is assigned every time. I’m using the latest Zima App (2.3.2) and ZimaOS (1.5.4)
Is there anything that needs to be set on ZimaOS so this connection would be initiated automatically, and IP settings don’t disappear (after fresh PC reboot). I’ve set IP settings to Manual on ZimaCube, but this doesn’t make a difference it seems. Every time new IP is given after reconnecting the cable.
Also, even though the connection speed is marked 20Gbps, transfers via File Explorer are transmitted over Ethernet (2.5Gbps link) and transfers via browser/Zima Dashboard over TB it seems:
Any help with these issues is much appreciated! Thank you!
Best,
Marius
