Hey yall. As the title says, Zima OS is not booting after install.
I’m getting an Error 1962 and tried the reboot-disk-cleaner which did not work.
I also tried getting linux mint back into the SSD and trying some commands from there and that didnt work either.
Anyone know any ideas? My Bios is set to Legacy only and I’ve tried switching it back and forth from UEFI and Legacy modes. Even tried booting from the SSD in terms of priority.
Unless I’m missing something, im not sure what else to try. Thanks!
On Lenovo ThinkCentre machines, Error 1962 usually means the BIOS cannot find a bootable operating system.
The first thing I would check is the BIOS boot mode. ZimaOS should be installed and booted in UEFI mode , not Legacy only.
I would try:
- Enter BIOS
- Set boot mode to UEFI only
- Disable Legacy / CSM if available
- Make sure the SSD is detected in BIOS
- Reinstall ZimaOS while the installer USB is also booted in UEFI mode
- After install, boot from the SSD entry that shows as UEFI
If the installer USB was booted in Legacy mode, the install may complete but the system may still not boot correctly afterward.
Also worth checking whether the M92p BIOS is fully updated, because some older Lenovo systems can be picky with UEFI booting.
