The Zimaos backup is no longer working

Hello, everyone!

My Zimaos backup is no longer working. I use the zimaos version v1.7.0.

It was still working a few months ago. Since one of the most recent updates, it hasn’t been working anymore.
I recreated the backup job and the SMB network drive.

The source for my backup is an SMB drive; the destination is a connected HDD

The warning / conflict is: “Please check your network or device connection.”

I can easily access the SMB share and the local hard drive using the zimaos file browser.

Any Idea?

I restarted Zimao; after the restart, everything seemed to be working again. It starts the backup and writes data to the destination, but after a few minutes, it goes back to “Warning.”

Then I recreated the backup, and I noticed that when it calculates the source, it shows “no files 0 B.”.

Please upgrade to the latest version 1.7.1.

Even after updating to version 1.7.1, the problem persists.

The warning appears above the local drive.
What’s strange is why it lists the source as 0 bytes (the source directory contains only folders, no files).

Can the “Start” button be used to perform a backup successfully? Currently, we are measuring file sizes, not the size of empty folders.

Sorry for the late response.

Nothing has changed since the last update to version 1.71. I recreated the backup job; here’s what it looks like now:

There’s a warning above the target drive.

Please check you network or device connection.

You can find this information in the device details:
Permission Denied. You do not have sufficient permissons to access the source or target drive.

The Source drive is a network folde, as you can see i have read write access to it:

The target is a local HDD Drive, ive also read write access!

Do you have any other ideas?
