After I updated my zimaos to version 1.5.1, the temperature that used to show up is gone now and showing 0 degrees Celsius. The power consumption detection hasn’t worked at all since the old version; it just keeps showing and 0 watts. By the way, my CPU is an AMD A6-5200.
I believe this is a hardware/driver limitation rather than a ZimaOS issue.
Older AMD APUs like the A6-5200 don’t always expose proper sensor data with the newer kernel, so v1.5.1 is now reporting 0°C / 0W instead of a fallback value you previously saw.
If you run sensors in the terminal and it also shows 0°C, that confirms the board isn’t providing valid data. In that case, it would require upstream driver support, not something ZimaOS can fix at the UI level.
I know about that, but for version 1.5.0, it can display normally and the temperature can also be read normally on the motherboard. So it seems that there is a problem with the compatibility of the new version’s driver. And in zimaos, the corresponding driver cannot be installed with one click. So I’m afraid that installing an incompatible driver will cause my data to be lost
I understand. Since it worked in 1.5.0 and stopped in 1.5.1, I believe the newer kernel / driver stack simply dropped the fallback your board relied on. That means your hardware is fine, the reading layer just isn’t being recognised under the updated driver.
So how should I solve the driver problem without rolling back the version?
