How to configure an HBA to be recognised by a ZimaBoard

Here are the instructions to enable the use of an HBA to work with the ZimaBoard. Once in the bios go to: chipset south cluster configuration pci express configuration -enable all pci express clock gating port 8xh decode port #0 peer write memory compliance mode Then go to: pci express root port 3 aspm: auto pcie speed: gen 2 transmit half swing: enable (if it still doesn’t work I would then try ports 4, 5 and 6 but I got it to work just by changing port 3) Hope this Helps

Sorry I should have been more specific.
As my issue may be due to lack of current support.

I have built a server in a jonsbo n5 with an msi keg z790 ace mb. I have attached the aforementioned lsi hba to connect the backplanes of the satasas controller in the case.

Unfortunately I may be an edge case in this instance.
I’m sure the os is built for zima branded products — so it makes sense why support is not there yet.

Yes, ZimaOS is built for Zima devices. And when installed in third-party devices, it may have compatibility issues(not many).

I would love for Zima OS to be widely supported, but I may have to pivot all things considered.

I checked the thread you provided, but it appears to only be for ZimaBoards.
