Popcorn: One application instead of Jellyfin, Radarr, Jackett, qBittorrent and more

What it does

Popcornn is an all-in-one, self-hosted media solution. It combines in a single app what usually requires several tools: a media server (like Jellyfin), automation for movies and series (Radarr/Sonarr), torrent indexer management (Jackett), and a download client (qBittorrent). You get one backend (popcorn-server), one client (popcorn-client), and optional cloud backup (popcorn-web).

How it works

  1. Backend (popcorn-server) — Runs on your machine or server. It handles indexers, search, torrent downloads, and your media library.

  2. Client (popcorn-client) — Desktop or web interface. You search, add downloads, and watch your content from the same UI.

  3. Cloud (popcorn-web) — Optional: account, invitations, and sync of your config to the cloud so you can restore or use multiple devices.

Why choose Popcornn

  • Simplicity — One app to install and maintain instead of five or six.

  • Unified experience — No switching between Jellyfin, Radarr, Jackett, qBittorrent; everything in one place.

  • Self-hosted & open source — Your hardware, your data, no vendor lock-in.

  • Flexible — Desktop (Tauri), web, and optional cloud backup.

  • Available everywhere — One app on Android, Android TV and webOS (LG TVs), plus desktop and web.

  • Familiar workflow — Same idea as the *arr stack + Jellyfin + torrent client, but integrated.

How to get the app

For now, access is by invitation. Request an invitation code on popcornn.app to obtain the app (Android, Android TV, webOS, desktop, web).

What you need

To use Popcornn you need at least one indexer (e.g. C411 or another supported indexer) and a TMDB API key (free on themoviedb.org) for metadata and search. The server must currently be deployed with Docker; a native Windows server app is in development.

If you love the *arr ecosystem but want less complexity, Popcornn is worth a try.
