Perhaps a simple question. Why is there a ZimaOS-HD while having enough storage?

Hello all,

Just a simple question.

What is the use of a ZimaOS-HD?
It is where the OS Zima is installed together with all the apps

and..

Where should i store my backup files then??

Is this in the ZimaOS-HD and migrate later to the storage?
It’s confusing.

If de HD is only for OS and apps, why are other maps then?

Many thanks!

Correct. It is the system drive.

Additional (separate) storage.

Thank you!

It is a sort filosophy i think.
If i store, lets say 1Gb of data on ZimaOS-HD there is no way, that this is backupped i think.
In my opinion migrating is copying or moving data to the RAID drives to free up space on the ZimaOS-HD. So the backup action is to the raid drives.

Correct?

If the ZimaOS-HD is full, then you have a problem as well
, wich i found out lately. Problem was that i always write to the storage instead of the ZimaOS-HD.
But, as you install more apps (containers etc) you can run out of discpace. Normally i don’t write to a systemdisk. but as i wrote, it is a way of thinking how things are organized.

Thank God i backd up everything to a seperate USB drive.

Nevertheless i give Zima a huge complement, for this nice piece of software.
