Paperless NGX on ZimaOS

Hello,
today I tried to install Paperless NGX on ZimaOS but it did not succeed.
On about 80% of the installation process I receive an error Message:

Error response from daemon: Head “https://ghcr.io/v2/paperless-ngx/tika/manifests/2.9.1-minimal”: unauthorized

I tried reinstalling it, deleting all the docker images an deleting the old files. All without success.
Is there any way to resolve this issue?

today I tried again to instrall Paperless but the system showed a different error meaasage:

Error response from daemon: Get “https://ghcr.1panel.live/v2/”: dial tcp: lookup ghcr.1panel.live: no such host

it may suggest the issue is related to DNS / network resolution rather than Paperless-NGX itself.

Suggested checks

You might try the following to narrow it down:

  1. Check whether DNS can resolve ghcr.io
nslookup ghcr.io
  1. Check basic connectivity
curl -I https://ghcr.io
  1. Restart Docker
systemctl restart docker
  1. Try pulling the image manually
docker pull ghcr.io/paperless-ngx/tika:2.9.1-minimal

If this also fails, then it would further suggest a DNS / network path issue.

Suggested adjustments

You could also try:

  • Temporarily setting DNS servers to something like 1.1.1.1 / 8.8.8.8
  • If running Pi-hole / AdGuard, allowing ghcr.io
  • Checking that no VPN / proxy is intercepting traffic

Why these steps

Paperless-NGX relies on several image pulls from GitHub Container Registry.
If DNS isn’t resolving properly, the installer may fail around ~80% as you saw.

Next steps

If you can share the result from:

docker pull ghcr.io/paperless-ngx/tika:2.9.1-minimal

that might help narrow things down further.

I have the same topic.
After some search via google is a problem from tika.
The download goes in a empty folder.

I hope the solution will be fixed in coolstore.

Dear all,
on YT is a solution to change the “tika” version.
It will be a version from Apache.
Unfortunatly the video is in german.

I tried to change the pull source to apache

from “image: ghcr.io/paperless-ngx/tika:latest”
to “image: docker.io/apache/tika:latest”
I’ve exracted the file from coolstore zip , change the line and try with this file a single app installation. The Installation goes to 100%, but after start it doesn’t work for me. I’m new to ZimaOS and the error messages are not understandable for me.
