As you may have noticed there’s a lot going on about Ai these days… But it’s mostly (sadly) about investing bazillions in ridiculously unaffordable hardware with accordingly soaring power bills and with a total absence of consideration for what real people actually need !
It seems there are some other options though, and I’m wondering whether anyone has any real life experience they’d be willing to share with Ai M2 modules like Hailo-10H, NXP Ara-240 or SAKURA-II for example ? (This little list is obviously not exhaustive as it seems there are new announcements about such products showing up regularly).
The thing is, you don’t really need a latest generation GPU or DPU to tag photos in Nextcloud or classify documents in Paperless-ngx, especially if you can get it done with a low-power solution, at a tiny fraction of the cost, which I guess would make it a perfect companion for a Zimablade (this is a random example, I’m still not working for them 
).
So there, will the promise will be fulfilled this time ?!
