OS drive replacement

My setup:

Asus q87t
I7 4770
16gb ddr3
128gb msata os drive
(zimaos latest release)
250gb ssd
128gb ssd
Two 10tb drives in raid 1
Two 1tb ssd in raid 1

Background:

When I started the home server journey I didn’t know much (I still don’t I just knew less than I know right now, which isn’t a lot) I thought the main OS drive being 128GB would be sufficient for what I want to run on the server. Turns out it was not.

The question:

If I were to replace the 128 GB os msata drive with a larger one would the data I have on the two raid1 setups be compromised? After reinstalling ZEMA OS onto a new MSATA drive and reinstalling all my containers would zema OS recognize the raid drives being in raid and the information they have on them? Or did I play myself?

To be clear the OS msata drive has not failed, I just need more space.

Be gentle

For what. The OS drive only needs to contain the OS. Any/All data should ideally be stored on your raid.

You know what? Your right :+1: lol I did a lot of reading after I posted and used the migration function in Zimaos to move all the apps/data ect to my raid drive. “Problem” solved.
