Hello, I would like to make a nas with 4 or 5 3.5” hdd with the zimaboard 2 but I can’t find a sufficiently elegant solution. Let me explain currently I have the configuration with two disks and everything is powered by the zimaboard 2 power supply now I would like to add two more disks always to be connected via sata using the pcie port with a sata adapter. The problem is the amount of cables and snits to be placed in turn using an ATX power supply and a case for the discs.. does anyone have a clean job to show?
If you want to go a super simple route you can get something like this. You can power your drives with any standard 12V DC power adapter with a 5.5mm x 2.5mm barrel connector.
