Hi to everyone. I have bought a Zimablade nas kit to built my domestic NAS. I have built the structure with cardboard. I decided to apply 2 fans: the first one of 90 mm to create an airflow toward the HDDs and the second one of 40 mm toward heat sink that i applied direct on Zimablade with a thermal paste. In this way I have a cpu’s temperature about 40-42 degrees, and the HDD about 36-38 degrees. The power supply for fans arrives from an usb cable: from one end i plug it to usb port, at the other end I plug it to a stepup circuit to elevate voltage up to 12 volts. The system seems to be going well. But I have had only one trouble: if I plug the usb cable to usb port of pcie card it going well until the raid works. In this moment Zimablade losts internet connection and I must unplug power, change usb port and restart Zimablade. Now the usb cable is plugged directly to Zimablade. I hope someone has any possible solution. The next upgrade is a mini UPS, perhaps of Icewhale shop.
