I received the ZimaCube with the 18TB Toshiba Drive from Zima’s webstore and the drive cannot be recognized. I went through all the steps on the website, but it seems that some info is outdated.
First, upon starting the drive squeaks for 5 minutes before setting down.
After this connecting to ZimaCube is a multiple try process of unplugging and plugging in the Thunderbolt 4 cable and restarting the Zima App. When I finally am able to get to the dashboard my NVME shows but no HDD drive. I have tried checking all the internal connections, removed the battery, changed drive bay and trays, tried to update the OS but the instructions online are for 1.2.0 and not accurate for the recent updates. When I boot from the USB drive the screen says booting from ZimaOS Installer then goes black without any prompt and stays this way.
Any help at this point would be greatly appreciated.
