Max powerdraw from SATA an Zimablade?

Hi, i am wondering if i can use (via splitter) 1 ssd + 2 or 3 HDDs from the regular zimablade sata power connection … 2 HDDs shouldnt be a problem but what about +1 ssd and eventually a 3rd hdd
i am using a PD90 adapter to power the system.

Only you can work that out, but I do not think it would be reliable and Its certainly not advised.

The stock PSU is 12V/3A , any USB supply should use USB C PD to negotiate to the same 12V/3A too.

Spinning drives can draw up to 2A in some cases at spin up./spin down, you would need to go back to the spec sheets to work out peak draw, that the Blade and any PCIE adapters need power (the PCIe wont need much but it will need some power).

SSD’s can be more power efficient, but sometimes they can when doing erase/write cycles draw as much as a spinner, but that peak is sually for a shorter period of time.

thanks  i solved the issue buying a pico psu, now i can run more harddrives without hesitation
