At the moment my ‘cluster’ involves my docker setup for media organisation and streaming, klipper to run my 3d printer, opnsense router and firewall and a truenas backup.
I am adding some new features soon with my current ZimaBlade untill I can get some more to form my new cluster

I’d really love a gracefully-degrading failover cluster for my home lab. Something that external services migrate to during failures/upgrades/tinkering.
So for example my Plex/nextcloud/homeassistant continues to be available while my less critical downloaders/etc go down.
Still not sure what technology is the right fit. Essentially it comes down to storage being hard/expensive to replicate.

I really like the design of this. What’s the chance that you will remix this add a way to connect them together so that they are stable. Setting up a cluster with multiple boards and the ability to join the stands together as the cluster grows would be fantastic.
I will add options for joining them together, should be fine probably just a couple of screw holes should do it. I’m actually taking the weekend off as I’m getting a bit burnt out but keep eyes peeled.
I’ve never done a cluster with large connected storage, but iscsi shared storage makes failover options pretty easy. For home use, some NAS’s have iscsi services that could do this role.
