Issue with JBOD Storage Creation in ZimaOS

Dear ZimaOS Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention an issue I have encountered with the latest versions of ZimaOS regarding the creation of JBOD (Just a Bunch Of Disks) storage.

I was thrilled to see the support for JBOD in the new updates, as it aligns perfectly with my storage needs. However, after installing ZimaOS versions 1.4.4 and 1.5.0 on my computer, I have found that the JBOD option is not functional. The JBOD option is not selectable in the storage configuration settings.

For context, I am looking to organize my disks using JBOD because I do not require the redundancy that RAID configurations offer. My primary use case involves storing general data, with only a few critical files being backed up to the cloud. The simplicity and flexibility of JBOD make it an ideal solution for my setup.

I have attached a screenshot of the storage configuration screen where the JBOD option is visible but cannot be selected. I believe this could be a significant feature for many users who, like me, prefer non-redundant storage solutions.

I kindly request your assistance in resolving this issue. If there are any known workarounds or if this is a recognized bug, I would appreciate any guidance you can provide.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I am confident that with your support, we can resolve this issue and continue to enjoy the excellent features that ZimaOS offers.

Best regards,

Hello, we think the last JBOD implementation might have some usability issues. Therefore, we’re looking to improve it. Currently, you can use JBOD by using an older version, or you can wait until we reimplement this feature. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your feedback.
