i am new zima os user. i cant install to sba.. hwy is that?
On ZimaOS, the installer cannot install to /dev/sba because the system only installs to internal drives (NVMe, SSD, HDD).
When a disk appears as sba, it usually means:
- It’s being detected as a USB/external device
- Or the connection is not stable / not recognized as an internal SATA/NVMe channel
ZimaOS will not install to a USB-class device.
What you can check quickly:
- Make sure the drive is connected as a true internal disk (SATA cable or NVMe slot).
- If it’s in a USB enclosure/dock > the installer will never allow it.
- If it is internal, but shows as sba > reseat the connectors or try another SATA port.
Once the disk is detected as sda / nvme0n1, the installer will allow installation normally.
If you want, tell me your exact hardware and how the drive is connected
