Immich Update question

I am running Immich on a zima blade with zima os. I have “latest” checked for the image and the server in settings but the server is not updating. Help?

I have the same issue, it can’t be updated any further than version 1.123.

If you are using the Immich build from the regular Zima/Casa store (not BigBear or other versions), it is as simple as updating the version tag to be latest altran1502/immich-server build numbers)

as of today, that is 1.125.7

You need to do that for Immich-machine-learning AND immich-server sections of the app setting in the Zima/Casa dashboard.

I have Immich app from Zima/Casa store directly with ZimaOS v1.3.1-1 and I can’t update it even on the ‘latest’ tag, it’s stuck at v1.123.0.

I find Zima’s handling of “latest” tags really wonky (see post on this board about it … Zima “upgrading” latest tagged containers with older versions).

Instead, use specific version numbers like “v1.25.7” as your containers tags.

But even after writing a specific version number like “v1.125.7”, the docker isn’t updated.

Not sure is this will fix your issue, but your screenshots tags aren’t identical to the actual release tags. Should be “v1.125.7”, not “1.125.7”

You can lookup the latest release tags here:
https://hub.docker.com/r/altran1502/immich-server/tags

Try “v.1.125.7” in both immich-server and immich-machine-learning, and then save the settings. Then restart the container to force the refresh.

Unfortunately it didn’t work with either “v1.125.7” or “v.1.125.7”.

Did you find a solution?

Thanks for that tip, that helped me update Immich v.2.1.0 to the new v2.2.3

Bit sad this latest still not updates properly.

In ZimaOS 1.5.1, the Immich App can be updated to over V2 from the older versions. And the OS can help you handle the DB issue in the background once you click the update button.

What is the issue you met? Would you please open a new topic for it?

@Zima-Giorgio

I wanted to updated from Immich v2.1.0 (the default Container) to the newer v2.2.3

I tried it a lot of times, I opened the settings and changed to settings from the current version to latest. That did not work. Looks like it wanted to install something, but failed (connection to ghcr.io?)

That yesterday I selected to Immich v2 ml and server container and mannual selected v2.2.3 as new version for both!

I wanted to say thank you big time. I was just able to take mine from v2.1.0 to v2.2.3 by doing that in Machine learning and server, and it updated mine to V 2.2.3 So thank you.

I bet this can work on other docker apps too that are not on the most recent, so long as they didn’t change things (the app) from the installed version.
