The version gap for the Immich app is actually getting bigger every day. The system does not offer any update options. Is there a manual way to update the software, e.g., via a Docker pull command? This shouldn’t be a problem.
Or can I successfully perform an update via the publisher altran1502 using the available tag information?
You can manually enter the latest version number in the app settings. On the top right of the dashboard app icon, click the 3 dots, then Settings. In the window that pops up, look near the top where there should be 4 tabs in blue text. On the immich-machine-learning and immich-server tabs, change the Tag box to whatever the latest version number is that you require. In my case it is v2.3.1 but leave the database and redis tabs alone. When done, click the Save button at the bottom of the pop up window.
This should prompt ZimaOS to update Immich.
Edit: I forgot to mention that this is using the Big Bear version of Immich but it should hopefully work regardless.
Currently, version 2.4.1 is the latest. I manually changed the tag immich-server and immich-machine-learning to v2.4.1 and it successfully updated for me. But I’m wondering if it will notify me when a new version comes out, e.g. 2.5.0, or if I broke something by manually setting the version. I have the BigBear version.
I am experiencing the same issue. I am not using the BigBearCasaOS version from the App Store, but the original one instead. I have tried updating it manually by installing the latest versions of both Machine Learning and the Immich server, but I still have no success. I am stuck on version 2.1.0.
Does anyone know how this can be resolved or what steps are needed to upgrade properly?
If you enter v2.7.4 into the Tag boxes on machine_learning and immich_server tabs and it doesn’t update then try installing Tugtainer (better, easier and simpler user control than Watchtower imho) from the App Store. This is a great app which can automatically update your installed containers. Fairly easy to set up and use and you can choose whether to auto check and/or update each container. I hope this helps!
