I have installed ZimaOS on a custom machine I have built. Due to hardware issues, I have swapped boot drives for the system to a different drive, and re-installed ZimaOS. However, my ZimaOS+ is still associated with the previous device ID. How do I go about disconnecting this from my previous device and using it on my new one?
See ZimaOS Plus FAQ
Is a ZimaOS+ License Tied to a Single Device or Transferable?
Each ZimaOS+ license is bound to a single device. This means your ZimaOS+ privileges cannot be activated on multiple devices at the same time under one license.
However, if you upgrade your hardware or need to replace your existing device, we provide a license transfer option. After your license has been active for at least one year, you can go to the Order Management page to unbind it from the old device and then re-activate it on a new one.
This ensures flexibility for users who upgrade their hardware while keeping the licensing system fair and secure.
Hmmm, the one year requirement is unfortunate, as I just purchased and bound it yesterday…
Always worth to reach out to official support, explain your situation and perhaps come to an individual solution.
just send an email to community@icewhale.org, I have had to get a new code twice after upgrades to my nas, the team are really good and will get you sorted as soon as they read it.
