How to run Windows 11 on Zimacube Pro

Hi, I got the Zimacube Pro a few days ago.
Started with ZimaOS 1.25
updated to 1.30. beta1 manually
upated to 1.30 official yesterday
then I tried Truenas Scale as a more powerful alternative (but also overwhelming with options)

Now I want to try using a stripped down Windows 11 (Ghost Spectre compact)
install went easy, but of course I’m left with a lot of unrecognized hardware in the device manager.
I’m not used to this anymore these days, as most current hardware is automatically installed

Anyone walked that path already and maybe found the most important drivers (like NIC, mainboard chipset drivers…)

Thanks for any hints, greets, RCSchim

Ghost Spectre probably has a limited roster of drivers included. You need to compile a list of drivers for your hardware to install manually or install Win11 full. If you can get the NIC working, you can use Intel’s driver website to auto detect some of your hardware and install that way. Another way is to install a clean full copy of Windows, fully update all the drivers and then use powershell or cmd to backup your drivers for use with Ghost Spectre (keeping in mind that some up to date drivers might need some dependencies that may not be included with Ghost Spectre). Maybe do a backup of the basic working drivers before updating and then do a full update including CUs. Then do a separate backup of updated drivers. That way you are prepared for a roll back or update incase you run into issues with Ghost Spectre.

Wow - some great ideas in this post! But for most of them I’m too lazy
I already found that INTEL NIC drivers page (the same that 777spider below linked) and they work. The 10gbit NIC also works. Now I just have a bunch auf PCI devices unrecognized.
So far all works and Windows only uses a few more W of power than linux based NAS systems.
But for example I got my Stream Deck keaboard with little displays for monitoring temps and disk stats. Dont know if this would have been possible so easy with Truenas.
Thanks for your efforts!
