Hi @zimanoob and ZimaOS community,
Thanks for the reply. I’ve been through a bad experience before: an SSD failure forced me to reconstruct my AppData and I almost lost access to my 6TB RAID 1 (I had to manually mount it via CLI to recover files). I want to avoid this headache again.
Since the ZimaOS web interface doesn’t allow me to “convert” my current single boot drive into a RAID 1 mirror without wiping everything, I need a reliable way to backup the OS Image.
My goal is: If my current 500GB system drive (WN94RKRJ) dies, I want to be able to flash an image onto my spare 500GB drive (24VHAT0) and have the system boot exactly as it is today, with all Docker configs and mount points intact.

Is there a recommended “Zima-way” to create a full system image/clone?
-
If I use a 3rd party tool like Clonezilla or Rescuezilla to clone the drive offline, will ZimaOS recognize the hardware change and keep the storage mount points (UUIDs) for my 6TB RAID?
-
Is there any plan to implement “System Mirroring” (RAID 1 for Boot Drive) in the Storage Manager for existing installations?
I really want to avoid having to re-configure everything from scratch if a single drive fails. Any advice on the best backup strategy for the OS itself?
