For any new user their PUID is „computed“ with X - 1.

first user (admin) PUID = 999
root PUID = 0

So the second user would get the PUID 998, the third user 997, fourth user 996….

How did you get the synology drive to be in the media folder? When I connect mine via the files app it automatically is added as its own mapped nextwork drive. I can view all the media files in the files app. When i copy the path the files app provides in the settings of either plex or jellyfin to add a volume it always fails and says the bind doesnt exist.

Any insight would be much appreciated.

Also if i change the PUID to 999 it will no longer load either plex nor Jellyfin they error out when launched

For anyone else who seems to have the same issue I did. I had to star the folders in the network drive within the zima files app before they would show up in the mapping tool for both plex and jellyfin.
