How to add USB DVB-S tuner firmware to ZimaOS for use in Tvheadend or Plex.

For security purposes, ZimaOS won’t let users add firmware themselves. Maybe you can provide it and tell us how you will use it specifically(user story), and @Jerry might consider your request.

This is a USB satellite tuner Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-S2 (461e). Firmware here:

It seems this firmware needs a desktop GUI environment, which ZimaOS does not have. How will you use that on this occasion?

A graphical interface is not needed. For example, on Ubuntu it is installed like this : sudo apt-get install linux-firmware-hauppauge

I know the installation is not in need of desktop GUI. But how will you use this firmware on this occasion specifically?

I will integrate this firmware in the next release. But you will need to help test the exact results.
