How to add an additional disk

could not find a working way via GUI and/or commandline to add a second disk to my zimaboard2 NAS …

using a formatted NTFS Disk (from a w11 system) it is recognized and I can access it - however I cannot

  • format it again NTFS or any other filesystem
  • change its name
  • reactivate it after I deactivated …

poor NAS-functionality or my fault?

Just slave it to another computer and wipe the partition. Then throw it back on the zimaboard and let zimaos make a new partition and all the permissions will be correct for zimaos to manage it. Its probably something to do with how w11 was using it and its blocking zimaos from managing it.

can I do that from windows (diskpart?)? except from some laptops I have no linux boxes …
