For some reason, when I go to upload folders to the the linked Google Drive account via the files app, it just hangs or fails to transfer the data. Any ideas why this is happening? All of my files already in the cloud are being pulled to my Zimacube, but I just can’t seem to add any?
This would be so useful for my workflow, so any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
Thank you so much for reaching out and sharing your situation with us! We’re here to help, and I’d love to understand more about what’s happening so we can figure out a solution together.
Could you kindly share a bit more about your setup and usage? For example:
What’s the size and type of the data you’re trying to upload? (e.g., total file size, file types, or number of files).
Are you uploading the files all at once or one by one?
Which version of ZimaOS are you currently using?
Have you seen any specific error messages or unusual behavior when the upload hangs?
We really appreciate your patience and these additional details will help us get to the bottom of this more quickly. Thank you again, and we’re looking forward to your reply!

For small files (under 50MB) I don’t seem to have any issues. But for anything larger than around 5GB, it fails. Doesn’t seem to matter if it’s a folder full of files, a folder with just one file, or a file on it’s own.
Are you uploading the files all at once or one by one?
I’ve tried both and neither are working.
Which version of ZimaOS are you currently using?
ZimaOS v1.3.0-2

This message appears (this was a video file): write /media/nick.kendall_google_drive_1735801464/B Roll Library Online/Unboxing (Vertical)/C2357.MP4.tmp: input/output error
Okay, may I know your real purpose? Did you upload the files on the cloud disk for backup or else? You can tell me all your ideas and needs, thank you.
Yeah, I really want to be able to upload video files to share with work colleagues in various folders. I tried using the native link sharing in the files app but found it’s limited to 10GB which Google Drive is not.
OK, thank you very much. We are trying to reproduce the problem and verify the availability of the share via link. If there is any news, I will synchronize it with you as soon as possible!
Hello,
I am the product manager of ZimaOS. I noticed that the file link you shared is a high-definition video, which looks like it was exported by a SONY camera.
In the transmission of such large high-definition video files, there are still the following problems:
There will be a limit on the transfer volume when Google Drive connects to the ZimaOS API. We are trying to solve this problem.
The Share via link function in the latest version no longer limits the file capacity in ZimaOSv1.3.1
If you want to share some larger video files with your colleagues, it is recommended that you use the Samba sharing function.
