Find the configuration of my existing volume for a new installation

Hello, I have just installed and tested ZimaOS with some problems almost all resolved, today I see that my 60GB system disk is too small, the possible VM applications etc…
when trying to clone the disk (haeslo clone) I ended up with a 250GB seen as 1GB and became unusable, a joy…
I reinstalled Zima on a new 140GB disk and I still have the old disk where I created my 4*3TB volume.
I read that to recover the configuration I had to find in “/ZimaOS-HD/.casaos/db” directory the file “local-storage.db” but impossible to find it in files like through linux, how can I do it and avoid rebuilding the existing raid5?
thanks in advance

it’s ok, I have found the file withe the install of the zimaos assistant

Your RAID5 data is not lost and you must not rebuild or format it.

The file local-storage.db exists only on the original ZimaOS system disk.
After reinstalling ZimaOS on a new disk, that database is gone unless the system disk was backed up. This is expected.

Your RAID still exists on the 4×3TB disks, ZimaOS has simply lost the configuration metadata.

What to do:

  • Do not recreate or format the RAID
  • Email community@icewhale.org
  • Ask them to re-attach an existing RAID5 after OS reinstall
  • Include screenshots of Disks / RAID / Storage pages

This is a control-plane issue, not data loss.
