I do not know if the following requests are already in the new ZimaOS update or not but I hope you consider some suggestions:
Ability to use ddns built in to ZimaOS like no-ip or other services
On the storage widgets I wish it could show drive temps and other basic information similar to the scrutiny app
Ability to do user specific time machine backups and be saved to their own user folder or even just a function to set a specific amount of storage for time machine backup
Ability to create and share Virtual machines to users
I know you can create users for folder shares but I wish for the following:
*ability for the OS to have an email textbox that will email the new user created to reset/create their own password
*ability for other users created by the owner to log in to ZimaOS main page and be able to access specific functions like their shared folders and specific shared Virtual machines either thru the local network or accessing it remotely using ddns/tunnel

thanks and kudos for the new added features like apple partition support @ETWang1991
Thank you for your recognition @pgear
The features you proposed, it seems that you want Zima to transform from a personal cloud device to a device that can be accessed by multiple people and be accessed at any time. We are very happy to do this and are working hard to do so.
Regarding ddns and noip, we are studying solution selection. Before that, we invite you to use ZImaClient (download at https://findzima.com/). After you configure it successfully, the software will automatically provide remote access when needed.
The virtual machine is already available. You can see ZVM in the Dashboard. The sharing function is already available.
The monitoring widget will be revised and updated in version 1.4
Thank you very much for your suggestions. We are glad that you are continuing to use ZimaOS. IW will release the latest beta version of ZimaOS in Discord, which will include the latest features.
I have issues with ZimaClient on macOS. I was able to install it but everytime I want to load it, it does not load/run for me to add the remote network ID. The client only loads when I restart my mac but when I want to reload it again it does not load up. Also when I enter the remote network ID even after refreshing the ID it says invalid ID.
For the sharing function of ZVM, I am using v1.2.5, I can only see the sharing functions on files when I go to the actual folder where the VM file but I dont see the sharing function on the ZVM app or maybe I am missing something.
I am excited with the monitoring widget and will look forward for it.
Also, if you can have a TimeMachine Backup function. I did saw on one discussion board about alternative solutions but you have to go to terminal and type alot of commands. For a beginner like me, I hope you can setup TimeMachine Backup function. Please …
Maybe there are too many icons in the upper left corner of your Mac to display Zima. You can try dragging the Zima icon to the right. Also check whether the ID you copied comes from this interface? If you copied the correct ID and it still doesn’t work, please let me know
I checked the ZVM function and it is true that the virtual machine does not support sharing with other users for the time being. I have recorded this requirement.
I’m new to zimaos, but it will be great to have more configuration options on VM, like change disk space after creating machine, or have better drivers support to use VM more like real os not like some kind of “test” environment.
hi @E-T , is there an update on zimaOS that can change the static ip address without using the command line?
How about bonding of two or more network ports/LAG/LACP?
This function will be launched in the next version of ZimaOS v1.3.1. Currently, the 1.3.1 beta version has been released. If you are interested in testing it in advance, I can pull you to the inner group to experience it first! What do you think?
