Driver wi-fi MediaTek not work

I am writing to request the driver and functionality information for the MediaTek network card. The following is the information provided:
03:00.0 Network controller [0280]: MEDIATEK Corp. MT7921 802.11ax PCI Express Wireless Network Adapter [14c3:7961]
Subsystem: Lite-On Communications Inc Device [11ad:3802]

Would you please be able to share the Linux driver binary too?

cc @Zima-Jerry

Hi @Zima-Jerry. I tried to install the firmware manually, but I discovered that the Kernel Module is missing too.

When I run modprobe mt7921e, I get: FATAL: Module mt7921e not found in directory /lib/modules/6.12.25

It seems CONFIG_MT7921E was not enabled in this Kernel build. Can you please include this driver in the next ZimaOS update? Thanks.

Okay, I’ll add it in the next release.

Hi @Zima-Jerry, is it possible to add the mt7925 (MEDIATEK Corp. Device 7925 (rev 01)) drivers as well. I would really like to use ZimaOS on my machine but at the moment it’s only works with ethernet.

These drivers should have been added, please wait for the new version to be released.

Could you please add the USB driver versions for the MT7925 chipset? It seems to be used on many WiFi 7 USB adapters such as the Netgear A9000 and the driver is present in the latest kernels with patches available for v6.12 that ZimaOS seems to be on currently (Making sure you're not a bot!)

Okay, I’ll add these in the next version

I have a RTL8822CE Realtek Network controller, would it be possible to add it too? It is shown in the ‘lspci’ but not on the wi-fi manager
Thank you in advance

Hello @Zima-Jerry

Would it also be possible to add MT7922 drivers as i would also like to use it also ZimaOS in WiFi please?

I have checked that the driver for MT7922 is already included in the system。

I’ll check and add it.

I have installed v1.5.3 x86_64, where it kept showing the following:

I have managed to check in network manager tui, but although it was not showing any WiFi entries and also checked if i could modprobe the driver and it was saying that the module does not exist within the FS.

Let me know whether you require more information.

With ZimaOS v1.5.4, my Mediatek mt7925 wifi card is started working, thank you so much.

Thank you so much for adding the drivers! Although my wifi adapter is detected now, it only works for a few days. After that, ZimaOS seems to stop using the adapter and does not detect it unless I restart the system and configure the connection again through nmtui. I am using a Netgear wifi adapter with the MT7925 chipset. Is this a known issue with wifi adapters?
